Its Wheat we're talking about........
It’s Wheat we’re talking about…
What is wheat straw?
Wheat straw is the stalk left over after wheat grains have been harvested. Traditionally these get thrown away or sometimes burnt by the farmers leading to increased air pollution. However, times are changing, these stalks have value, we reclaim this material and use it to make wheat straw products.
Why use it?
With an increased eco awareness in the world today, all industries are striving to lower emissions, reduce carbon footprints and do all we can to help our environment. It is essential for now and future generations that we find alternative materials that can help protect our rainforests and reduce our waste levels.
With wheat straw, you can still use disposable paper products, but you know you are choosing a product that is made from a renewable and reclaimed wheat straw instead of trees.
The benefits of Wheat straw
As the plastic is biodegradable, the products can be placed in your home compost and will naturally fully compost in a 3 to 6 month period. It is a renewable and sustainable product and since these plastic products are natural, they can be decomposed and used as fertiliser or be melted back into pulp to create different products again and again.
