Fairtrade Fortnight Begins!
Fair Trade Fortnight 24th Feb – 8th March 2020
Let’s start with a question, what is Fairtrade?
Fairtrade is a movement for change that works directly with businesses, consumers and campaigners to make trade deliver for farmers and workers. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade farmers and workers developing the world.
How does Fairtrade do this?
By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price), Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives.
Why choose Fairtrade?
